Obsidian is a form of volcanic glass that has a very black color. The inclusion of small, white pieces of cristobalite form 'snowflake' patterns in the glass and offset the black color.

Unakite is a 'Made in the USA' rock that is actually a combination of pink orthoclase feldspar and green epidote. The result is an interesting mix of the two colors along with a mottled appearance.
