Description
Petrified wood is a fossil formed by the infiltration of minerals such as Quartz or Calcite into natural wood. The petrification proces occurs when wood becomes buried under sediment and is initially preserved due to a lack of oxygen.
These petrified wood slices are approximately 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" x 3/8" Thick. All samples will vary , however.
