Description
Mookite is a colorful mineral produced either by being a combination of rocks such as Japser and Chalcedony or being formed by microorganism fossils. It is more likley the latter but many sources refer to it as a Jasper/Chalcedony. It is colorful and even a small piece will have multiple colors and striations. Reds purples, tans, whites, pinks, golds and blacks are all quite common in Mookite samples.Mookite is often known as Mookiate. Mookite is mined in Western Australia. Each piece is approximately 1" on the long side and tumbled smooth.
