Description
Not to be eaten or given to Children under 6 as they may eat them. "Martian Blueberries" work great as a gift if you are into astronomy, or just love the natural world . The bag contains anywhere from 4-8 "Martian Blueberries". They are actually concretions (from Utah) that are nearly identical to those found on Mars by the Mars rover "Opportunity." Scientists named them "Martian Blueberries." Since they need water to form, their discovery is an important proof that water existed on Mars. These specimens, about 25 million years old, are unique to the red rock formations of Southern Utah and to the red planet Mars. The rover Opportunity found them on a broad plain, Meridiani Planum. One of the pictures in this series shows pictures from mars of the "blueberries".
