Description
A set of three minerals, each approximately 3/4" or more on their long side. The samples are peacock ore, native copper nugget, and iron pyrite (fool's gold).
Copper Nugget: Copper is rarely found in nugget form, when it is it is found around volcanoes and active fault lines.
Iron Pyrite: Is iron suflide, a natural mineral. Because of its golden luster it has earned the name fool's gold.
Peacock Ore:is Bonrnite, a mineral made of 63% copper. Due to the copper an other minerals in this ore it has striking shades of purple and blue.
All minerals are from the Sonotan Desert, Western US, and Michigan. Samples are in a clear plastic box with packing foam.
