Description
Turitella Agate is actually more a fossil than agate. The spots seen on the rocks are actually the fossilized shells of the gastropod Elimia tenera (not turitella gastropods as the name implies). These shells silicified and became rocks. Each piece is 3/4" on its longest side, but size, shape and pattern will vary from rock to rock. Turitella is tumbled smooth.
