Description
Dmitri Mendeleyev developed the Periodic Table of Elements as a way to organize the chemical elements, yet when the untrained eye looks at it there is often a sense of confusion. The intent of Dmitri’s Neighborhood is to provide a light-hearted first look at chemistry so that sense of confusion is short-lived. Begin your study of chemistry with a sense of fun so your mind will be like an absorbent sponge.
Whether you are a teen-ager, younger student, or parent, a tour of Dmitri’s Neighborhood provides a non-stressful way to learn chemistry basics. Join hydrogen as he takes you through the neighborhood and introduces you to his elements friends. You will meet elements that have been around for centuries and some that have been recently discovered. You will also get to know hydrogen’s very close friend, Atom, who makes everything happen. You will get to know the Neighborhood inside and out, the new and the old.
