Galileo Thermometer - 12"
Originally conceived by the Big 'G' himself, Galileo thermometers are both attractive and functional. When the temperature changes, the liquid in the tube increases or decreases in density. The balls with colored liquid have differing weights and thus rise or fall depending on the temperature. To read the temperature, look at the lowest floating ball. If a ball is floating in the middle of the tube, the temperature is between it and the lowest floating bulb.
Galileo Thermometers work from temperatures from 64°F to 80°F.
Size of thermometer is 12†x 1.5â€. Works with 5 multi-colored float balls.
