Description
Polarizing film takes regular randomized polarizing light and lets only light with one polarizing orientation through. If you take two pieces of polarizing film and place them at 90° to each other they will block out all light. Polarization is used in microscopy, stress testing, light control, and hundreds of other purposes.
Place a piece of this film over your source light on a microscope and then the other piece within or over the viewing tube to achieve all sorts of optical effects. Especially effective when viewing minerals with an inspection microscope. The effect will not be as good as a fully designed polarizing microscope, but will show effects nonetheless.
2 Pieces of 2" Square Polarizing Film.
