This living ecosystem was exclusive derived from NASA space experiments, and requires virtually no maintenance. First you will make the amazing Space Age Gel and fill it into the habitat. Then plant seeds into the gel, and watch planets grow within days. Add the ants and watch them dig tunnels into the gel, right before your eyes. The gel has been specifically designed to provide ants with all the nutrition they need. The ants will continue to live in this balanced eco-system for a long time. An amazing experience for everyone ages 7 and up. Adult supervision required. Measures 10.25" x 8.5" x 2.375".

Contents: ant habitat, lid, LED base, magnifying glass, instructions, ant voucher (online registration - receive ants by mail), small plastic container for catching ants, basic seeds in capsule, wooden stick, 2 vials of powder gel (0.2 oz/6g. each), 1 vial with liquid colorant for gel (0.33/10ml). Batteries not included (requires 3 1.5V AG13 batteries).
