Pyrolusite is a form of Manganese Dioxide. It is prismatic steel gray with radiating iron fibers. The geode is formed in volcanic eruptions. Pyrolusitre is used to prepare disinfectants and coloring in printing. These geodes measure 2-3 in. across and originate from the Atlas mountains of Morocco. Shapes will vary.
