The globe inside the cube rotates peacefully using only the energy from light and the force of the earth’s magnetic field. A carefully designed, highly efficient drive mechanism within the globe powers this rotation. When light passes through the graphic, it illuminates very advanced solar cells within the globe that supply energy for this drive. The drive includes a magnetic element that reacts with the Earth’s magnetic field, much as a common compass does, to provide rotational torque.
